Atlantic Coast Recycling has a long history that dates back almost a century. In the 1930s, two family fiber recycling companies, focused on different niches within the recycling industry, began to operate in New Jersey. The two merged operations and continued to operate successfully—initially, as part of a public company, then independently as Atlantic Coast Fibers.
Atlantic Coast Fibers continued its growth by partnering with another long-established New Jersey family-owned business that processed paper, single-stream recyclables, and commingled material. By 2020, Atlantic Coast Fibers was processing and brokering over 30,000 tons per month of commingled containers and single-stream recyclables as well as high-grades, mixed paper, and cardboard.
Our current Atlantic Coast Recycling facility, rebuilt after a 2021 fire, is in a new 125,000 square foot building with modern, state-of-art dual-stream and single-stream stream equipment—it is one of the most advanced recycling facilities in the nation and continues to serve municipalities and commercial/industrial customers throughout the region.
